Affiliate Disclosure
How Dwell Hue makes money, and why that doesn’t decide what we recommend.
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Dwell Hue is reader-supported. Some of the links in our guides are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission when you buy through them — at no additional cost to you.
The disclosure, in plain terms
FTC disclosure
Dwell Hue is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This disclosure is made in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255 guidance on endorsements and testimonials.
How affiliate links work
When you click an affiliate link on this site, a small tracking identifier travels with you to the retailer. If you then buy a qualifying item within that retailer’s attribution window, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale as an advertising fee.
- You never pay more. The price you see is the price you would pay without the link. The commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.
- We are not the seller. Dwell Hue does not sell, stock, ship or service any product. Your purchase is a contract between you and the retailer.
- Orders and returns go to the retailer. Delivery, damage, returns, refunds and warranty claims are handled by the seller and the manufacturer, not by us.
- Attribution is time-limited. Retailer programs typically attribute purchases only within a short window after the click — in Amazon’s case, generally 24 hours, or longer if an item is added to the cart within that period.
Programs we participate in
Amazon Associates is our primary affiliate program and the source of most commerce links on this site. We may join additional affiliate networks or individual retailer programs relevant to home furnishings, lighting and window treatments. Where we do, the same rules in this disclosure apply, and this page will be updated.
How we keep recommendations independent
Commission funds the research. It does not shape it. The rules we hold ourselves to:
- Products are selected and ranked on published specifications, documentation and patterns in verified owner reviews — never on commission rate.
- Placement in a guide is not for sale. We do not accept payment for a ranking, a recommendation or a favourable conclusion.
- We do not insert paid links into published articles.
- We name the drawbacks. Every recommendation states who a product is wrong for, positioned before the purchase link rather than after it.
- Where a product fits a reader’s constraint but earns us nothing, we still say so.
Identifying affiliate links
Commerce links appear as clearly labelled buttons and links in our guides, and a disclosure statement appears before the first commerce element on every page that contains one. Affiliate links carry the appropriate link attributes and open the retailer’s own listing. If you would rather not use them, you can search for any product we mention directly on the retailer’s site — the research is just as useful either way.
One more thing worth repeating
Our guides are built from research into manufacturer specifications, published documentation and verified owner reviews. We do not test products in person. An affiliate relationship does not give us access to a product, and it never stands in for evidence. See our Disclaimer for the full explanation of our method and its limits.
