What Dwell Hue collects when you visit, why we collect it, who else can see it, and how to ask us to delete it.

Last updated: August 6, 2026

This policy explains how Dwell Hue (“we”, “us”) handles information about visitors to dwellhue.com. It applies to this website only, and not to any other site you reach by following a link from here.

Information you give us

You can read almost everything on this site without giving us anything at all. We only receive personal information when you choose to send it:

  • Email correspondence. If you write to us at hello@dwellhue.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever is in your message.
  • Contact form submissions. If a contact form is available on this site, it collects the name, email address and message you enter, so that we can reply.
  • Comments. Where commenting is enabled, WordPress stores the name, email address, comment text, IP address and browser user-agent string submitted with the comment, in order to help detect spam.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, dwellhue.com and the services it uses collect certain technical information automatically when you visit:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it (typically country, region or city — not a street address)
  • Browser type and version, operating system, and device type
  • Pages viewed, time spent on them, and the order in which they were viewed
  • The referring website or search engine that sent you here
  • Cookie identifiers and similar technologies, described in our Cookie Policy

Server logs kept by our hosting provider may record this information for security, diagnostics and abuse prevention.

How we use this information

  • To reply to your emails, corrections and enquiries
  • To operate, secure and maintain the website
  • To understand in aggregate which guides are useful, so we know what to research next
  • To attribute qualifying purchases made through affiliate links, so the site can be funded
  • To detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with advertisers, and we do not send unsolicited marketing email.

Third-party services

Some information is processed by third parties acting on our behalf or under their own policies. The main ones are set out below.

Cookies

Yes, this site uses cookies — for basic site function, for analytics, and for affiliate attribution. You can block or delete them at any time through your browser settings. The full breakdown is in our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep information

Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful for handling your enquiry and any follow-up, and is deleted on request. Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up replies remain readable, unless you ask us to remove them. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the analytics service. Server logs are rotated by our host on its standard schedule.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent you previously gave.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these rights arise under the GDPR and equivalent UK legislation. If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you rights to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Dwell Hue does not sell personal information as those laws define the term.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@dwellhue.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and international transfer

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections to this site. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our hosting and service providers may store or process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where that happens, the provider’s own safeguards and privacy terms apply.

Links to other sites

Our guides link to retailers, manufacturers and other third-party websites. Once you leave dwellhue.com, this policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of other sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site, its services or the applicable law change. The revised version takes effect when it is published here, and the “last updated” date at the top will change. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
